Medi For All Tips:

  • Don't have harissa? To save money, substitute an equal amount of any the following you have on hand: sambal olek, sriracha, gochujang, peri-peri sauce. Or, make a substitute out of powdered chili powder or smoked paprika and a small amount of olive oil. (Each of these substitutions will change the flavor of the dish slightly but will still be delicious.)

  • Use regular versions of beans and broth if that's what you have, rather than buying new.

  • Similarly, full fat or 2% Greek yogurt will work fine, if that's what you have.

  • Make sure your bread is made with whole grains!
